We are dedicated to providing excellent care. At Octavoscene, we believe that beef is what is for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We are a multifaceted company offering consulting services, diagnostic services, and veterinary medications through our wholesalers.
Our Mission and Growth
Octavoscene (Pty) Ltd was established in 2009 with a mission to provide its client base access to feedlot consultants in both the beef and lamb feedlot sectors. When established, the company contracted the services of S and E Feedlot Consulting Services to allow smaller role players access to specialized knowledge in feedlot production medicine. Since then, our team has grown to include multiple veterinarians who are just a phone call away.
Through combining customer bases, we negotiate with suppliers for competitive pricing. Today, we provide veterinary medicines to feedlots—both big and small—to aid in the efficient production of wholesome, nutritious beef and lamb. We have strived to take this a step further by including the beef industry as a whole—from farm to feedlot.
Expanding Our Reach
In 2016, we established an office in Malmesbury in the Western Cape to support the dairy industry, and we have most recently expanded to include services for the pig sector in the Western and Southern Cape.
Our Values
The company believes in the responsible use of veterinary medicine, and importantly, the judicious use of antibiotics under the supervision of a veterinarian. Our veterinarians provide the best possible advice and service to the feedlot for the benefit of the cattle, the owners, and the consumer. This is accomplished by maintaining open communication and a spirit of teamwork.

Octavoscene (Pty) Ltd is under the professional direction of Dr. K.S. Morris (BVSc (Hons), MSc Agric). His academic background and extensive field experience ensure that every recommendation and diagnostic solution provided meets the highest standards of cattle health and agricultural science.
We are also proud to announce that Professor Leon Prozesky (BVSc, MMedVet(Path)) has engaged with Octavoscene to provide a specialized diagnostic pathology service to all our clients.
